Sunset Ballroom

Some of you may not know, that at our Comofort Suites in South Burlington we have the Sunset Ballroom, which has gorgeous view of Lake Champlain, and the perfect view of the sunset.  Sunset Ballroom is run by Gary and Diane Provost of Waterfront Catering; it is a great venue for weddings, proms, as well as business functions.  They even held the function for Tim Thomas from the Boston Bruins celebrating the hockey teams 2011 NHL Championship.  Gary and Diane are some of the nicest people, they make sure any events they have at the Sunset Ballroom run smoothly, and is nothing but enjoyable for the guest.  The Sunset Ballroom also host their own events, one of the popular events is the party they host on New Year’s Eve.  This year the Sunset Ballroom will be hosting an Evening of Elegance on August 3, 2012 so get out your gowns and suits and dance the night away under the stars. Burlington Bears Its Art

"Burlington Bears Its Art" is this years event beginning in May and lasting through September.  It is presented by the Church Street Market Place, Burlington Business Association, and Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Citizens Bank. After the successful "The Cows Come Home" presentation in 2010, this years theme is bears, which are made of fiber-glass.  Businesses are allowed to sponsor these bears and have them decorated by an artist where the bears will then be places throughout Church Street providing nice art for the popular tourist destination, and helping with tourism and revenue of the businesses that sponsor these bears.

Here at Larkin Hospitality we sponsored a bear, which was painted by our own Suzanne Widlicka.  Take a look at the finished project! Where the bear will be located along Church Street is still to be determined.
